Client: A well-known transport company with sites across Australia.
Situation: Individual sites were unable to access the central business system and the company was running out of disk space.
We were asked to support the IT needs of all sites from our Network Operations Centre in South Melbourne.
Solution: We recommended and implemented a Microsoft Terminal Services solution to ensure all states could access the same live database at all times. We made use of existing equipment and also deployed new IBM hardware.
We also introduced archiving policies to make better use of disk space, and improve network speed and reliability.
